Later on, during our lunch time, we finally decide to renegotiate the price with one condition, $4,800 with the processing fee included on that price. We called Mike and he agreed with my offer. We agreed each other to finalize the purchase at 4 PM. Since unofficially we have made a deal, I requested him for a pre-purchase inspection before we finalise the transcation, because I have made an appointment with South Pointe Honda for the inspection. He refused me for the second time telling me that it is OK if I don't want to buy the car since he has more customer to sell the car with a higher price.

I bought a 2006 Toyota Avalon from here about a year ago and it was by far the easiest, most straight forward car buying experience I have ever had.

When we arrived to his office, I told him that I like the car and inclined to buy it. Before I negotiate the price, I asked him to bring the car for a pre-purchase inspection. He refused me immediately. He told me that there will be another 4 customers wanted to look at the car that day, and the other 4 customers for the following day. He told me that he might lost the potential sales for other customers who want to look at the car as well. He also added that he had years of experiences of being mechanic and was graduated from Bixby (which I don't care). Instead of pre-purchase inspection, he offered me to buy a 3 month warranty for $199. He argued that the warranty is more secure than an inspection by a certified mechanic. From this point, you know that a good and professional used car seller should allow your request to have a pre-purchase inspection before finalize the purchase. That is a common sense for a used car dealer/seller.

Since I was interested for the car, I made a negotiation with him. He showed me first the "long price" of the car based on NADA was $8,325 and he was only asking for $5,500. I told him my offer which was lowered his price due to old tires, hole in the bumper and lot of paint scratches. I offered him $4,500 based on the price range of KBB. He refused to accept my offer since he didn't trust KBB. I raised my offer to $4,800 and he agreed with that. Then, he added $199 to my offer which he called a processing fee. The total price was above my budget and I asked him to delay the purchase to make a decision. Thus, we walked out his office to discuss our budget.

After going to countless car dealerships and being pounced on like a pack of hyenas all barking "what monthly payment would you like!" or "we can stretch that out to 72 months and make it more affordable" the sales approach at Kirkpatrick Auto Sales was a breath of fresh air. The owner (Mike I believe) was calm, straight forward, respectful, and not pushy in the least.

I went to this dealer to buy a white 2007 Honda Oddisey Touring with 195k mileages on it which he posted on Craiglist for $5,500. I called the day earlier to come early in the morning when they open at 9 AM. I came with my wife to the dealer. The car we were looking for was parked outside the office and we walk straight to the car and examine the exterior of the car. Based on the exterior observation, there is one big hole as big as a tennis ball on the front bumper. It was covered by a white duck tape to camouflage the hole. Other big issue was that there were no threads left from the tires.

Even after posting this review he still critisizes me with his responce to my review calling me fake.. I have my lean release in hand. After listening to you talk to my husband I did not feel comfortable with your words or even how you handled the situation with us. Even now you post in retaliation to my review of your buisness. You and the men you work with dont work well together. I emailed you and recinfirmed before we drove up there to your establishment. Dont cover yourself to protect you imiage. I left bc I am not interested in doing buisness with you and your product. I felt lied to and led on.. You can not say the way you make someone feel is a lie. Your way of doing buisness offended me greatly and I will not reccomend ANYONE to your establishment. I will find a great Van for a great price get more for my trade in and build a professional relationship with somone who will value my buisness then I will reccomend that place of buisness to friends family and Anyone.

I test drove a vehicle that was clearly water damaged and had some serious body issues. No problem, except for the fact that the salesman refused to provide a car fax or any information about what the car had been through, insisting that carfax was a scam and it was a one-owner vehicle (it may very well have been).

The salesman practically yelled at me because I disregarded his hastily-googled report on carfax. The water damage, or anything else wrong with the car, didn't bother me, the engine sounded fine, and I can afford an independent mechanic's opinion. The salesman's completely shady mannerisms drove me to another dealership.

Not long after that Mike came out from his office to greet us and bring the key. When I asked about the hole on the bumper, he told us that he didn't know anything about it. He told me that we couldn't test drive the car on Memorial since it is busy and crowded according to him. The fact is that we came early in the morning at 9 AM. Instead of driving on Memorial, we were driving around a neighbourhood pass the fire station on 121st eastbound. We tested how the wheel and power steering performance by turning to lots of curves in the neighbourhood. After about 5 minutes drive, Mike asked to go back to the dealer since there is no one present at the office except him, an understandable reason.

Based on my story you can see that it is not recommended to spent your time, energy and money at this used car dealer.

Whew this review section is a mess! I see a couple unhelpful positive reviews and two blatantly fake reviews. My car purchase experience at this establishment left a large enough impression on me that I have been checking back on google from time to time to see when his business would be listed on googles services and available for review.

My entire experience took about an hour. Half of that was spent chatting with Mike and test driving the car. I told him the price I wanted, he said it sounded fair, we did the paperwork, shook hands, and I had the car. Do yourselves a favor and check this place out.

I am very dissapointed in this establishment. I have bought cars from good ppl in the past and I gave them the benefit of the doubt in regurd to a Van that they had on car gurus. It was a 2007 and it had 150 00 miles on it very nice clean inside.. On line the van was priced fair to middlin. It was not an extraordinary deal and it was 2000 down. My husband and I went to them inquiring about the van. The older man who sits up front Im guessing is the representative and is the face of Kirkpatrick the man is not honest and he cares absolutly nothing about you or your situation. He priced my trade in without driving it to 800. This was after Mike who was never in the office said he would work with us. They dont communicate well with eachother Mike says one thing and the other man says another. The elderly man who still does buisness is calused and bias I questioned his ability to form a heathy buisness relationship bc of his age and his dishonest word choice.. They were trying to lessen the amount of my trade in to amp up the cash amount we pay for the next car they buy at auction that will sit on their lot until another individul that comes along expresses interest. Their service is dishonest. and I am extreamly displeased with their efforts in good service provided to the public. They openly and directley showed they dont care and they judge you from a physical stand point making the assumption that you have money. They wont work with you. And when we went through such a strenuous process of bringing in my 2010 chevy impala with the title and the pay off reciept they continuously requested document after document instead of establishing a firm understanding to reserve time gas and efforts. When we got there the 2nd time with my trade in they were showing another couple the Van that we were in the process of working out a deal.. The older man said 800 for the trade in while Mike said hed take 300-500 I felt confused and I had a headache. Neither of the car sales men were considerate of my time or my husbands time after work or our hard earned money. They were very selfish and double minded. We just returned from being up there and while we were there speaking with Mike in rushed manner the older man walked a pair of jumper cables out to the van to jumpstart it so the the couple could test drive it.. It was embarrasing to watch. Mike told my husband that hes was not interested in my trade in after days of haggiling and driving up there retrieving docmcument after document and the older man continuously had a civer story on behalf of Mike. Telling us he had to go home bc of a family emegency.. I was shocked that his generation of ppl is still so absorbed in their previous way that they fail to realize the importance of honesty even in buisness. They mad me feel uncomfortable troubled stressed worried and nervous.. I do NOT recommend doing buisness with these men they are troublesome dishonest and do not provide customer satisfaction they are just looking for their meal ticket.

Took extremely great care of me. I had a strict budget and he helped me get into the best fit. Never pushed or forced anything on me. Thanks Mike, it was my first car buying experience and your courtesy helped to calm my nerves enough to relax and feel like the decision I was about to make was a good one.
